The 10mhz alternative question
I was just reviewing a recent post explaining how a ZipGS with a 7 mhz
chip can sometimes be made to run at 10mhz.
I can't remember who wrote it, but my question is this.
The post said that you should be several speed oscillators and try
them all since the processor may top out before 10 mhz.
If it tops out at say 8 mhz and you have a 40mhz chip in there (what
you'd need for the full 10), what would happen? Can you damage something
by having a oscillator too fast for your processor, or doesn't it make a
difference, and this swaping step can be skipped?
