While your info is useful, you must realize that the chances of
*** NOT *** running into a Apple II virus is like 99.9999999%. All known
viruses were caught way back in the late 80's (all 5 or 6 of 'em). I feel
that my system is 100% safe from viruses (hardly anyone writes software
for the GS anymore, so I really doubt that some hacker wants to write a
virus for the GS). If you are concerned about viruses get Salvation:
Exorciser. I believe it has vacinations for all know viruses. But like I
said, the odds of that happening (on the GS ;) ) is like a
trillion-billion to one. I put Exorciser on my GS because so I "feel"
professional. I'd say get rid of the init. One less init means the
system will stay up that much longer (IMHO). However, I hope someone else
can offer you a solution to your problem should you decide to keep it.
File-a-Trix is a _great_ CDA.
