It, like many lists of similar objects (like CPUs, in this case), is
more of a "shades of gray" kinda thing. The PPC 604 is very RISCy, the
6502, a bit less RISCy and a bit more CISCy, the 65C02, a bit less
CISCy and a bit more CISCy, the Pentium......etc. If ALL CPUs were put
on a list, a fairly gradual change could probably be seen. New
processors don't make this an easy question. A processor I read about
(Cyrix's NextGen 686?) is Pentium compatible, but "thinks" a totally
different way.
That's what I think so far, anyway.
