> get the right one?Yes you have the wrong cable. The Imagewriter cable has two wires 
swapped. When you use an Imagewrite II cable on the switch box, you 
switch those two lines back, and the box doesn't work. I had the same 
problem.

Solution was to use a an Apple IIGS/Mac modem cable from the box to the 
printer. No wires get swapped back, printer prints:-)
