I have three Quantum ProDrive LPS240 drives. Two in my Quadra, one ni
my IIsi. They seem to format to around 225. Very reliable drives, and
quite popular. Remember all those Quadra's and Centris that came with
230mb drives? 99% of them were LPS240 mechanisms.

Yeah. It was most likely formatted to be a 200mb drive. Sometimes Apple
rounds off the MB's to make it look nicer. Too bad that wastes anywhere
form 2-30 megs of space.
If you have an LPS240 with so much bad space that you only get 199mb, you
should stop putting sand in the mechanism. Might be a good idea to find a
drive thats in better shape.
