Upload problem

 I am using Spectrum 2.0 on my Rom03.  I have no trouble 
 downloading files at all.  However, I have had the following 
 experience uploading and cannot figure out what I'm doing wrong.
 
 I cannot seem to upload a file larger than 50k with having 
 the upload hang during transfer of the last 150 characters.  
 For example, I shrink the file, then encode it through 
 GSCii+ v.2.3.1, then upload it.  There's no problem for 
 small files.  However, once I exceed 50176 characters, the 
 transfer is aborted.  
 
 Can anyone help?
