Apple wrote a scan program for a SCSI scanner. However, the software wouldn't
allow you to save the picture. If you or he can get the scanner to work with
the driver that Apple has made, you would be able to scan. A utility like STS
(a cda to make screendumps with) would help you in saving parts of the scan
that is on the screen.

I may be wrong about the program, but this is what I recall from it...
