I have been reading comp.sys.apple2 since its beginning. As an
Apple II user, this is the place I relied on for Apple II info.
Since we no longer have the support of Apple, Inc and your local
computer store no longer even knows that the A2 exist, I (and
others) depend on csa2 for the latest A2 info.
comp.sys.apple2 has hit a new low. There is more flaming and
non-Apple info on this Newsgroup than there is A2 info. Our
local users group (A2 only) is actually increasing in membership.
We have done this by being friendly and helpful to each other and
to new members - NOT by bicking with each other and calling each
others names every chance we get.
If I was the new proud owner of my first Apple II computer and
I looked into this Newsgroup and all its bicking and flaming, I
would think twice about what I had gotten into.
We need to remember the reason we are here - to help each other
with our 'Apple II' problems and to discuss the 'love of our life'
