Very odd. I've been able to do that just fine on my system. [Even
when I've got the Finder in a half-hosed state while I track down a
pointer bug in it... dang, that #*&# bug is annoying to find. I keep
disassembling chunks to find that a bad pointer passed in from
elsewhere is the problem. I will be most pleased to nail that bug and
release GUPP 1.02]

Do you have a large selection of inits/das installed, especially
ones that play around with 1) windowing, 2) keyboard interceptions, 3)
finder stuff? If so, try disabling a large chunk of them and leaving
GUPP in-- sometimes the adding of another program can change the load
order of things. Changing the memory allocations can hide or expose
bugs in other things.

[Or with a ROM 3, having Segfaulter installed and in normal/paranoid
can cause crashes bank FD because of a windowing manager bug; thanks
to James Sanford for reporting this and finding the parallel fix from
the ROM 01 patch in GUPP 1.0-1.01.]
