My apologies if this is a duplicate post, but I posted the original some
time ago, and I haven't seen it yet. I don't think it ever got to the
newsgroup.
According to the ProTERM manual (page 198), you need to set up one
computer to receive a call. The other computer needs to issue an
ATDT* command to the modem. IOW, use the asterisk (*) as the phone
number. This should cause the other machine to think someone is calling
it, so a connection should be established.
I have never used this method personally, so I cannot guarantee that
it works. Let me know how it turns out!
