Command.Com was originally a commerical product, available from Pinpoint. 
When Pinpoint went out of business, the copyrights reverted back to the 
authors, Dave Sugar and Les Kay. That was at least 5 years ago. 

At the time, Dave Sugar uploaded a copy of Command.Com to AOL, but for 
some reason that I can't explain, that version never worked quite right. 
If I remember correctly, the online Help system wasn't implemented 
correctly. So, I asked Dave Sugar (who was one of my co-sysops on the 
Source's Apple II forums) if I could simply distribute the version of 
Command.Com that had been available from Pinpoint. That version has been 
available from Shareware Solutions II for more than 5 years. It works on 
IIe, IIc, and IIGS systems. It's available on either 3.5" or 5.25" disks.
