   Wouldn't you have to GSHK downloads from GEnie anyhow? Never had an
account on any BBS, local or national, so I'm not sure on how they do
things. I was thinking of picking up a GEnie account anyhow sometime
soonish (*$&#@ Caltech phone office hated modem usage, so they had a
bad tendency to disconnect my line at random when I used it).

   GEnie's got moderators and other folks to keep flammage and other
crud to a moderate level. That's the only solution that I've seen on
the internet that works worth a darn-- self moderation is only as good
as the self control of the people involved. The Babylon 5 newsgroup
used to have far, far worse flamewars than here, but after a moderated
group was implemented, the new moderated group has been a real model
for good discussion without flames.
