Mr. Mates:

Thank you for your kind reply to my request for help. I was corrected by
several other users as to the existence of sub-directories on an DOS 3.3
disk. That fact, I guess, is at the heart of my question.

As I mentioned in my origional message, I was using the System Utilities
Disk that comes with the Apple IIe to transfer the files. It isn't "in
the trash on my Mac" because it is not a Mac program.

The reason, I am assuming, that the copy program thought that the disk
had a sub-directory on it was that the file names all started with a \
(\DISNEY COMICS, for example).

I am assuming that I should just rename the files, without the \ and
then transfer them to the 3.5" ProDos formatted disk. Then mount the
disk on a Macintosh and attempt to translate the data.

As to my phrasing, you will have to excuse me. I thought my origional
article was clear (from my perspective). I can see how it was confusing
to someone who knew more about DOS 3.3 than I. But that is why I posted
the question to begin with. Hopefully someone with more experience in
the DOS 3.3 'world' could give my a hand.

Thank you, again, for your reply.

Sincerely,
