Most monitors that have separate vert & horiz sync will work if you connect
the composite sync to both H & V sync lines.  At worst there would be some
"tearing" towards the top of the picture.  Other possibilities might be
wrong polarity sync (comp sync is neg) or that the monitor has other sync
rates.  Some monitors have a sync polarity switch and some provide 2 sets
of sync lines, one for pos going sync and one for neg going sync.
