Actually it was NinjaForce who wrote MegaDemo.

I had the same thing happen when I had a ZipGS 8/16 installed. For
some odd reason, turning Counter Delay OFF (disabled) would allow it
to run. It should really have the opposite affect; my current 15/64
ZipGS runs MegaDemo with it enabled -- which is normal.
Another solution is to try and access the Control Panel (OA-CTRL-ESC)
a second before the "Your GS is too slow!" message appear. You may have to
do it a couple of times, but if you time it just right you'll get it
working. You also need at least 2MB RAM if I recall correctly.
