And what if he is word blind? In that case he can't help making grammar
errors. Moreover, it's the message that counts, not the grammar. Check out my
messages. There are tons of grammar errors in it, and that's because I'm
Dutch, and b) I don't run a spelling checker on my emails after I've finished
them.

So IMHO it's useless to spill bandwith on correcting grammar errors. I pay
alot to receive these messages because I'm connected to FutureNet. And as
being the second European Site of FutureNet (Magnus Ericson runs Aug-Sweden),
I have to call to Anti-Matter BBS, which is ran by David Miller.

The reason his BBS is my uplink, is because of the fact that the sysadmin.
won't allow me to install several mail programs on the university that I
attend.

In other words: carrying this newsgroup costs me about Dfl. 4,- per day. The
more nonsense and flames (i.e. non-apple II topics), the more I (and also
others!) pay for the sense-topics.

I'm on irc very often, on #nederland to be exact. And I've got quite high
levels on the local bot there, and sometimes I play "daddy" on that channel.
But what I see, are comments like: "Doede, stop playing daddy", and so on.

Then I realize that I AM playing daddy and that people don't like it. I've got
the same feeling with you. It's like you're playing daddy on this newsgroup
and alot people don't want you as their daddy.
Just my thoughts....

You are VERY right there! It's a waste of bandwith to have sigs longer than 4
lines. Imagine people calling to e.g. my BBS at 2400 baud, and having to read
those long sigs aaaalll the time!

>>> If people don't lie, we don't flame. Very simple. The solution is

But there IS a difference between abusively lying, and those who don't know
better. I myself know quite alot about the Apple II, but not half as much as
you do. When I state something, and it's wrong, I don't lie, I just don't know
better.

Yeah, just like that stupid TG-Fax program! Someone just tried to nail Dr. Tom
because HE CAN'T PROGRAM GS/OS PROGRAMS! There are quite a few people willing
to nail him, so I expect one of them doing this advertisement trick (IF it
exists).
