I have both RamFAST rev. D and Cirtech Insyder with a 40MB integral =
drive installed. Insyder was working well until I updated to System =
6.0.1. It seems that the driver provided had some problems with random =
access text files bigger than 70K. I endured multiple and weird crash =
when copying such files from the Finder. No problem occured when copying =
from ProSel, though.
Being tired of those crashes, I activated the ProDOS link on the InSyder =
(it is recognized as a ProDOS Block storage device instead of an =
extended smart port) and got rid of the InSyder driver. You can boot =
with both RamFAST and InSyder installed. GS/OS will generate a driver =
for the InSyder integral drive. Everything should work fine albeit =
copying files from the InSyder is very slow.
Does anyone know if somebody could update the driver provided years ago =
by Cirtech?
