Heh, heh, heh...  Welcome to the world of the undocumented HFS.FST 
(patched, or not patched, it's the same crap).

I am definetly no stranger to this error.  I have duplicated it so many 
times that I totally gave up on using large HFS volumes, and now I'm very
uncomfortable with an HFS volume of any size on my GS.  My 
pain-in-the-ass experience wasn't limited to just a couple error 
messages, either.  I just got so sick of it that I didn't even bother 
posting about it any longer, and just gave up on the issue.  IMO, you're 
better with a screenfull of 32mb ProDOS partitions than corrupt HFS 
volumes that force you to continually reformat your entire hard drive.
The ProDOS volumes are way faster and infinetly more stable.
