stylewriter preferences

Can anyone help me configure a stylewriter so as to 
1  always clean ink cartridge before printing, And 
2  be able to set itself for A4, not US letter and also
3  allow me to use A5.

I tried the technical library, but the nearest thyey had was adjusting
preferences in something called PREC- I can't find anything in preferences
except watermarks.

I've got a stylewriter 2 which I upgraded to 1200.
