Your power supply has failed and needs to be replaced or repaired.  I 
have about 4 power supplies with the same symptoms and thus far have not 
been able to find the component that causes the strange behavior.  A 
simple work around is to simply leave the computer power on all the 
time.  You would have to do the unhook-hook routine whenever the power 
goes off, but it is an inexpensive solution.  I have a few working power 
supplies and could swap yours plus a few $$$ for a working supply.  Send
