The track record for product releases after announcement has been exceptionally
good for the past several years.

The era of failure to launch due to competition in a niche, limited market and
the trolls trying to game the community is long over.

Besides, most of the hardware developers do their projects for the fun of it,
for their own needs and are generous to share their work with others so we
can help bankroll a better product.

I some ways, these are the best of times for the Apple II since the late '80s.
