This is what I have found. There are a couple of programs that just don't
like HFS, even though they are GS/OS based. The only other one that comes
to mind right away is Taito's breakout-style game (geez, whats it called?)
On a HFS vol it hangs at the TAITO splash screen; copy the directory to
ProDOS and it works fine.
Once I copied HCGS to a ProDOS vol, it also worked without problems.
My 330mb drive was originally partitioned as 2 ProDOS and 1 HFS; once
problems like this started to crop up, I backed it all up and re-part'd
it as 6 ProDOS and a much smaller HFS. I tend to use the ProDOS vols
for working on (faster anyway) and the HFS for backups where I can use
the longer filenames to good effect.
