Apple ][+ ".SPC" file format?

So.... I've managed to resurrect a slew of Apple ][+ files
from my ~distant~ past, and even extract many of them via STM and
DeBabelizer on the Mac... But, a couple of files still defy me...

** What is a .SPC file? ***

It's on an old disk full of HGR screen dumps
("BSAVE FOO,A$2000,L$2000" - gack!), but
I have no memory of what it is or what program reads it.
Can anyone out there refresh my memory?

(In case it'll help anyone, I did the following to get the
HGR images into the modern world...)

 * Used MacADT 1.2.0a1 to make disk images (via a SSC) on the mac
 * Used STM to read the images and UNPACK the files, saving them
to a new disk image via SaveTM
 * Extract those into Mac files using A2D33Utility 1.0.0
 * Used BrainHex to remove the 1st four bytes of the resulting file.
   (A2D33Utility pre-pends the Apple][+ BLOAD address and length -
yuck - this was confusing DeBabelizer... )
 * Ran the files through DeBabelizer to convert them to GIF format.

What a pain in the nether-regions...
