Re: ZipGS & Iomega Zip Drive Incompatibility?

The 45 sec search screen shows up in my system, without a ZipGS, each time
I power up. This is normal for the RamFAST card. This allows the whole
system to power-up simultaneously. With an Apple SCSI card (normal or
hi-speed) the drive has to be on first before powering up the computer or
the drive won't be recognized. So you have your basic lessor of two evils,
either turn-on your hard-drive first and then the system, or watch the 45
sec message. In any case, once the system is booted, the message wont
reappear unless power is turned off, because the card 'knows' the drive is
hooked up and availiable and will keep that info until power-down.
