Looking at both ZipGS boards (8/16 and 15/64), neither have any
components soldered to Q2, R7 or R8. Some components have been added
to C16, C17 and C19 on the 15/64 however, which are not present on
the 8/16.

That's most likely the case, hopefully replacing my 60 watt Apple
supply with a 150 watt PC supply will clear things up (in the meantime,
most of my system is stripped down to lessen the load on the powersupply)
This has greatly helped, although I'm still noticing the occational
freeze-up or other strange things...

When using ProTERM 3.1, for example, the blinking underscore cursor
and mouse pointer disappear. Or the mouse pointer gets stuck in an area
on screen and flickers madly (I have to clear this by doing a Control-
Reset). Yet another problem, I went to access the scrollback buffer
yesterday and everything froze with a strange pattern of inversed 80
columns text. Under GS/OS, when making an attempt to access FTA's SuperZip
CDA, quite often I get a crash into Monitor or things freeze up after
pressing Return. I even went as far as to try a few game titles, those
too would freeze up (Zany Golf freezes when loading between levels,
and during Xenocide the game just simply froze up once).
