Sheesh. Neither Dr. Wrong nor any of the respondents doing a
lovefest in followups appears to be capable of reading what's clearly
presented in front of you. I challenge all of you who seemed to
support Dr. Wrong, right or wrong, to go back and read the original
message in the thread, in which Dr. Tom quoted me on a number of very
specific problems in his behavior.
Dr. Wrong did a good job of trying to totally avoid the issues I
brought up (possible motive: he can't accept that he's wrong), and
turning the debate into one where he's trying to get people to
'support' him and something of a popularity contest. Dr. Wrong
promised to leave before, but his continuing presence is evidence that
he changes his mind more often that his underwear.
Just in case your news readers cannot go back to the original post,
here's the two very specific issues that I brought up against
Dr. Wrong. You supporters of him should _REALLY_ ask Dr. Wrong to
answer the questions clearly asked of him, if he has any integrity.
1) Why he posted announcements of his WWW contests to all Apple II
newsgroups, not crossposted, and not to comp.sys.apple2 only, the only
relevant newsgroup. Further, why he refused to listen to others'
requests to stop that, including myself, David Empsom, Mark Miller,
and many others.
2) Why he's lying about what the 'gbmaidsf' acronym in his email
address expands to.
We don't do macintosh posts in comp.sys.apple2. Why? They're off
topic. Same thing when talking about programming Apple IIs and we see
some garbage about contests. All Dr. Wrong has had to do is say "Ok, I
was wrong. Future contests will be announced to comp.sys.apple2 only"
and (1) would be over. Very simple, but Dr. Wrong appears to be
incapable of admitting that he's messed up.
Any of you Dr. Wrong supporters should _please_ ask him to clean up
his online behavior, and learn to read the very specific issues
pointed out to his face. Running away and changing the topic is a sign
that he can't face up to the truth.
