Re: Should I stay or should I go?

Please do not leave the group. In almost every group I have seen,
there have been folks that seem to get a great deal more pleasure
pulling the discussions off of the stated focus (in this case the
Apple II series) and into personnal attacks. It is unfortunate how
many valuable resources are driven away. "Dr. Tom", you are a valuable
resource. The number of folks you have helped publicly is amazing,
and when you add to that the people (such as myself) that you have
helped privately, the numbers are mind boggling.

There will still be the "undesirables" who insult each other and those
of us who are here for the stated purpose of learning and sharing our
knowledge. There will be those folks who spend there time pleaing
with others to not respond to the first group. In other words, these
will be a lot of garbage. Our choice: accept that or work toward
censorship. Or educate... if nothing else then by example. My own
choice is a combo of ignore and educate, and perhaps censor to the
point of strongly encouaging sysops to insist that users use there
real names (except where there are over-riding issues). But I am WAY
off topic!

In short, please do not leave us. But if the rudeness and ubsurdity
of the few is making this group not worth it, please continue to
assist folks through private mail.

Side Note: Is anyone bothered by my ID of Snit (Southern Nevada
Institute of Technology)? I guess I do not see that as a problem... I
have NEVER refused a request, public or private, for my real name.
