G'day All,
Someone emailed me recently enquiring how to patch
GWIII V2
to enable a keyboard equivalent to the "Object Spec..." menuitem, much like
the patch I posted for the "Fit to Window" menuitem recently.
Well here goes...
Standard Warning!!
DO THIS TO BACKUPS ONLY!! NOT TO ORIGINAL DISKS OR FILES!!!
For Genesys users-
(1) Fire up Genesys and open the GraphicWriter file.
(2) From the resource types listed in the left scroll field, double click on
the "Menu Item" item.
(3) In the right scroll field, find the "MenuItem_00000145" item and double
click on it.
(4) A window with Object Specs... in it will appear. Double click on the
words "Object Specs..", then click once in the edit field on the far right
just after the Open Apple. Enter a "-" (thats just a minus sign, without the
quotes, or anything you like thats not already used).
(5) close all the windows but Save before closing the last window.
Seems to work quite well.
For Foundation users -
(1) Fire up Foundation and open the GraphicWriter file.
(2) From the resource types listed in the scroll field, double click on the
"800A Menu Item" item.
(3) In "Menu Item 800A" window that appears, find the "00000145" item and
double click on it.
(4) A window will appear. Click in the edit field on the right of the "Item
Char" and enter a "-" (thats a minus again without the quotes, or whatever
you want to use that hasn't been used already) and repeat (4) again but in
the Edit field to the right of the "Item Alt Char".
(5) close all the windows but Save before closing the last window.
You're finished.
Many thanks to Seven Hills and the programmer involved for updating GWIII V2
to use resources so these patches can be made!!
Enjoy peoples!!!
Regards,
Davo esq.
