     You can use up through ProDOS 1.9 on your II+ and on an unenhanced
IIe. Try to get at least version 1.7.

     A very good utility for copying, organizing, ... ProDOS files,
initing diskettes, etc. is a leter version of Copy II+ (e.g. version 7.x,
8.x).

     Good manuals for ProDOS are Exploring Apple GS/OS and ProDOS 8,
Beneath Apple ProDOS, and the ProDOS Technical Reference Manual. You can
find these at local swap meets and advertised on
comp.sys.apple2.marketplace.
