Re: Word Perfect for GS -- Who Sells it...?

Wow! I've never heard that before. As far as professional work goes I find I'm
FAR more productive with AW5.1 than just about any other word processor. For
the final spit'n polish I port the text over to a Mac or PC for final
formatting and printing. I have Word Perfect for the GS but found it a
nightmare to use. As far as WYSIWYG word processors for the GS I used
AppleWorks GS for many years when I was publishing a newsletter for the local
astronomy club. I wrote my graduate thesis with it (again porting the text to
a laser printer system for final copy). BeagleWrite GS isn't bad, though I
haven't used it nearly as much as AWGS. If none of these sound like they'll
do the trick a used PC or Mac with a more recent program like Microsoft Word
might be in order. I recently put together a 4/60 Mac plus for under $100
with an HP DeskWriter printer (I bought a 4/0 Plus for $35, upgraded the hard
drive on my GS and moved the used drive over to the Plus, and the DeskWriter
was given to me). It runs Microsoft Word fine, but I really put it together
to use MacDraw Pro and/or Turbo CAD for light drafting work.
