I would second everything Eric said. I haven't dropped any discs yet but the zip was definately as close to plug and play as you can get. I have been pleased with its operation and since I managed to catch a two day sale for $150 it was apretty good deal. I have seen them recently in some mail order adds for $189. pbauer@mit.edu
