CDRom Drive

New Problem:
        I just got a Sony 4x CDRom player (CDU76S-81) and tried to see if I
could hook it up to my GS Rom 3 with an Apple HS SCSI card and use the Apple
SCSI CD driver. If I hook everything up with the driver active, when I boot
the system the system boots until it gets to the CDRom driver and I get error
$0043, invalid ref number???? If I deactivate the CD Driver I can boot the
system but I don't see the CDRom.
 
        Any one have any ideas as to what is going on?
