Re: My new GS

I've joined this one late, but can I relate my similar experience.

Snap! I just bought one as well. Mine also has no real software but came
with two external drives, one 3 1/2" and one 5 1/4" floppy. The latter
has a disc in it with a fairly simple pain program 'DazzleDraw' on one
side of the disc and on the other (I didn't know they turned over) is a
program called 'Garfield'. The disc 'catalogue' refers to 'prodos' but it
doesn't seem to exists as a freestanding OS for this computer.
Actually, I know nothing about the computer but it was in such perfect
condition that I just had to buy it. I would love to know what an Apple
IIgs does and its spec.

Actually mine seems a bit off as well. I tried the RGB monitorwith a IIcx
but it didn't work at all. It looks like the convergence isn't right, but
gives relatively ok graphics nevertheless.
: 3: Lastly, it has 512k, I would like to increase that. I do have
: some old memory chips, but this maching came with no manual for the
: memory board. What kind of chips does it require. I have a bunch of
: 4256-10 and 51258P-10 static column ram, can I be that lucky?
I have a full expansion slopt on mine with an unusual shaped card in it
that has loads of chips on it. I don't know what the full size of the ram
is. How do I find this. Anyone know?
