all you need working right now are the two apple keys. hold both down and
turn the iic on. once the iic turns on, release the keys and you will see
multiple colored squares constantly changing. they will go like this for
about 30 seconds to a minute as they scan each chip and board looking for
errors. a message of system ok or an error message should appear in the
center of the screen once it's done. if the test goes on for several
minutes, you have the 255 version as that version's diagnostic was never
finished so only the diagnostic display works but the test never finishes
so you get no message at the end of it.
what is the serial number on the bottom of your iic? that might help
someone on this group identify which version you have.
