   Try checking to make sure that the disks are double density. The
mac checks to see if there's a hole to the left of the disk label
for that. Cover up that hole.

   However, you said that the GS could write to them after formatting
them on a mac. If you can turn around and the mac can't read them,
take the mac in for service.
