Ahh, but you forget that there are some _advantages_ to buying a ROM 01
machine. If you intend to play a lot of games, beware that some older
games (and quite a few of the programs by the FTA) will not work with a
ROM 03 machine. This has to do with the fact that in the interest of
making a program run faster, the programmer tweakes the code using
proprietary functions that will only work with a specific hardware
combination. If that hardware combination is changed ever so slightly,
these "tweaks" may no longer function.
