Softdisk G-S has a program that does most of that already. Issue
#52. Call 1-800-831-2694 to order.

System 6.0.1 does not support hierarchic menus. It's only a 3rd
party addon that does so.

Get the program 'SeeHear' by SoftDisk G-S. Version 2.1 (that latest
I know about) was on issue #63.

If you're talking about the whooshing rectangles when a window is
opened or closed, I've got a CDev to kill that, 'KillDaWhoosh'. It
should be at your favorite ftp site, or since it's one of my programs,
drop by ftp.ugcs.caltech.edu, pub/nathan for a copy. Freeware.

SoftDisk G-S again, issue #56. The program is named Backdrop,
v1.0.1. More background patterns can be found on #63.

As in only one, not two? There are programs to do that. SoftDisk G-S
again, issue #59, I think.

Most of the stuff listed above can best be served by addons, not
by making it part of the Finder. The Finder's already big enough as
is; making it so that people with only 800K drives can't use it would
be worse. Allowing people to pick and choose what extra features are
wanted is the best option. [And subscribing to SoftDisk G-S seems to
be the next best option :]
