Re: AppleWorks to Mac (MS Excel/MS Word or other) conversion
In comp.sys.apple2, Rami Levy once said:
: Does anyone know of a conversion utility that will convert AppleWorks 3.0/4.0
: (NOT GS) files to a format which can be read by a Mac program? For example,
: AppleWorks WP files to Microsoft Word or ClarisWorks; AppleWorks Database
: files to ClarisWorks or other; and AppleWorks Spreadsheet files to Microsoft
: Excel, or ClarisWorks or other.
ClarisWorks 4.0v4 can definitely save as an AppleWorks 2.0 file...perhaps
it would read in that version as well? If that is the case, then if you
can save the document as a 2.0 file from within the newer version of
AppleWorks, than you might be able to read it...However, someone did
post a followup that said that ClarisWorks 4.0 could not import the
AppleWorks 3.0 or 4.0 files and this may very well be true for all
AppleWorks files.
