IIgs Newbie and boy are my arms tired

The problem is this see.  I just inherited an Apple IIgs and I really am
at a loss as to how far I can take this machine.  If you have any hints
regarding the following and how to get started, pleases feel free to reply
by e-mail or on the news.  Any help just pointing me in the right
direction would be appreciated greatly...

   Graphics:               Gif converters
   Entertainment:         Game sites...
