The HP 600 is a PCL 3 printer (albeit with improved resolution and
features over the older HP DJs), and as such can be driven by any software
(Such as Jet Link for the Mac) which delivers PCL 3 output (in graphics
mode). I have successfully used my HP DJ500 on my IIgs, Mac and DOS/Win
computers with no hassles using generic PCL 3 drivers, including a driver
for the Lexmark series of ink jet printers. A BIG minus is that you will
need to search around for a serial->parallel converter for the Mac since
the DJ 600 doesn't have a serial port.

An alternative printer _might_ be the HP DJ 340, which is a "portable"
DeskJet which is PCL 3 and has serial, parallel AND infrared I/O. :-)

Happy hunting!
