I need a vt100 term. emul. for an Apple ][e

Here is the situation, I have a 128k Apple ][e that I want to set up
so that my famlily can check email and communicate with me in an
easier and cheaper fashion then calling me.  I am leaving for Brasil 
in two weeks.  My problem is that I can't get the computer to comm-
unicate with the servers at my University (Michigan) because I don't
have an adequate terminal emulator/communcations package.  I have a
Datalink 2400 baud modem, so I can scrape by there but It isn't
enough.  If anyone can help me out I would really appreciate it.
