Networking GS to a Mac?

  I'm trying to get my GS networked to my Mac, but can't seem
to do it.  I've got System 6.0.1 running on the GS, with Appletalk
enabled and Appleshare enabled (installed from System disks).  I
have the GS and Mac connected between their modem ports using a
IWII cable.  On the Mac side System 7.5.3 is running, Appleshare/
Appletalk/File Sharing enabled.  But neither system can see the
other.  What gives?  Do I need some special software on the Mac to
make it a file server?
