Also:
"Graphically Speaking" by Mark Pelczarski - former head
of Penguin Software, later renamed to Polarium.

While technically only a collection of his Softalk columns
it's IMHO a good and well written introduction to hi-res
graphics from the hands of an experienced assembly
programmer (one of the creators and responsible for
The Graphics Magician - perhaps the most successful
middleware on the Apple II platform).

AGaAGD is a more of a compendium for programming
hi-res games, of course, and I recommend both to anybody
wanting to do hi-res graphics on the Apple II.
