The CloseView problem you describe is the ROM 3 problem/change. Basically,
ROM 3 changed they way shadow/real memory worked for drawing the mouse.
Don't know why it was changed since the ROM 01 way was fine and worked
faster since it based mostly in $01. 03 changed it to have the mouse draw
in $E1 instead.
