Tan??? The one I have had case made out of two sheets of stainless steel ( I had
helluva fun trying to drill a hole for new connector )! The case looked like
"handyman's special" ;). The main board has no silkscreen on it, and it looks
like it was sold as kit assembled by it's first owner. Was yours fully assembled
straight from the factory?

yep, and I ran cp/m more than apple. If I used Apple, most of the time it was to
play Connan. One of best games I ever played.

Yes, there stil are some files in German on my floppies. Looks like first user
left them.

It's possible, I never knew enough to be able to tell the diference.
Do any of you guys have any docs for this machine? I am trying to transfer files
from it to my PC, but I could never figure out how to access serial port. Under
CP/M it doesn't seem to be initialized properly, and I don't know it's hardware
address to talk to it directly. For now I am using homebrew interface with
joystick port as my I/O on the Basis side.
I wonder how many units of Basis 108 were manufactured? So far I know of 6
persons who own(ed) it. Looks like this might be a rare collector's item :)
