No, they're easy to swap on the Zip and Transwarp.

Note that you cannot simply use the new faster 65C816 by itself, but must
use it on a Zip Chip or Transwarp.  After swapping the CPU, you will need
to get a crystal that is rated at 4x the speed you want.  At this speed,
you will almost certainly need to upgrade your static RAMs (SRAMS) to a
fast (approx. 15-20 nanoseconds) and good quality chip, such as Toshiba
or Fujitsu.  Stay away from NCS (if memory serves correctly).
