If you have a Genesis, look for the game "Dr. Robotnik's
MeanBean Machine." (Yup, they Sonic'ized the game when they brought
it to American shores.) You can probably find it for under $20
in clearance bins. Or if you're nuts, hunt down the original (Japanese)
Megadrive game ("PuyoPuyo"... duh) The SNES also got the game, but
they changed it to "Kirby's Avalanche" (Super Famicon title, "Super
Puyo Puyo")
Personal opinion, but the Sega game plays better than the
Nintendo, (maybe it's because I've played it "too" much, so the
slightly different feel on the Nintendo bothered me) Other than
that I think all the features & options are identical on both versions.

to practically every system imaginable.

...simple strategy, always drop your piece so one of it's
colors matches, you'll be surprised at the results it sometimes
produces.

...now if only someone would port it to the 8-bit. =^)
