It's a slinky memory card, a clone of Apple's Apple II memory expansion card.
Same as a RAMfactor or Flipster card. It uses regular ol' 256Kx1 DRAM, and the
connector is for an addon card for more memory. Slinky cards are pretty
slick, my main IIgs and //e and //c all have one.
