Re: Miserable AWGSII Word

I dunno, I used AWGS to produce the newsletter for a local astronomical
society for 5 years, and a darned nice one at that, IMHO :) I wrote my
chemical engineering graduate thesis with it, seemed to do okay. Version 1.1
was a MAJOR improvement over v1.0, and Pointless did a lot to overcome the
problems of bit-mapped fonts. I do wish there was a v2.0, but what ya gonna
do.

If the tool doesn't do the job then you need a new tool. I recently picked up
a 4/0 Mac Plus in _mint_ condidtion (one of the late model Platinum machines)
for $35. I'm upgrading the hard drive on my GS from 60 to 120 Mb with a shiny
new Focus hardcard and am going to put the 60 Mb QDrive on the Mac. It's a
fun machine to tinker with, has some decent drafting software available for
it, and I'd imagine it does a fair job at basic DTP. For $35 it was within
the budget :)

Buuutttt, we'll probably keep using AWGS (and AW5) and GW-III. It does the
job for us.
