My GS suddenly failed to run any 16-bit applications and any attempt
at using the modem or printer port caused it to hang.  I could,
however, start up AppleWorks fine.  It ended up being a bad contact
on one of the pins between my Zip cable and the GS motherboard.  I
had assumed that if one of them didn't make a good contact that the
GS wouldn't even boot.  Thanks go out to #appleiigs for helping me
through this GS-less crisis last year :)
